| The
Curriculum
The
British International College is striving to develop
a Curriculum Continuum of International Education
(Nursery – Year 13) through eventually
combining the official International Baccalaureate
Organisation Programmes;
IBPYP
– The Primary Years Programme (Nursery –
Year 7)
IBMYP
– The Middle Years Programme (Year 8 –
Year 11)
IBDP
– The International Baccalaureate Diploma
Programme (Years 12 and 13)
The
school has been a full member of the International
Baccalaureate Organisation since 1990 and has
produced 16 graduating classes gaining the Colombian
Bilingual Baccalaureate Diploma and 8 graduating
classes also gaining IB Bilingual Diplomas.
Staff
attend the official annual IBDP workshops and
we are also a member of the Andean IB sub-regional
Association (AACBI), which has an ongoing staff
development programme.
In
recent years the school has introduced informally
some aspects of the MYP and has been evaluating
how it can move toward adopting the PYP as well.
It is the schools goal over the next five years
to fully adopt the IBO curriculum continuum. To

programmes and how they articulate, please use
